Virtual Online Precinct Proposal

Update on Randwick Councillor's Virtual Online Precinct proposal.

Dear Residents,

It has been a while since I addressed the precinct through the news page.  My last was on the motion from a Councillor to augment consultation mechanism for Kensington West Kingsford (KWK) Precinct by establishing a virtual online precinct run by Council officials in a parallel universe [see Fri, 16 Dec 2016 article].

My submission as a resident of KWK precinct at the Sat, 17th Dec 2016 Council meeting against the rescission motion [NR8/16] speaks for itself [see Sat, 17 Dec 2016 submission].  The motion was defeated unanimously much to my delight.

I am hopeful this Councillor recognises the need to engage with the real local community and that a survey of a virtual online community is not community consultation by a long shot.
